1) How do I qualify to attend the Offshore Elite Meetings Alliance?
PLANNERS: After we receive your registration, it will be reviewed for approval to attend the Offshore Elite Meetings Alliance. Upon verification of your booking history and future booking needs, you will be promptly notified of your acceptance.
Qualifications: Do you meet one or more of the following criteria?
- Are you a meeting decision maker?
- Do you book an average room night of $200 or more per night?
- Do you book groups of 10 or more?
- Do you book multiple events per year?
- Do you book events in Hawaii, Caribbean, Mexico, and other offshore locations?

2) Who will be attending the Offshore Elite Meetings Alliance?
The Offshore Elite Meetings Alliance will be attended by an exclusive collection of top corporate meeting and incentive planners along with hoteliers representing some of the most elite hotels and resorts in Hawaii, Caribbean, Mexico, and other offshore locations.
3) Is there a cost associated with attending the Offshore Elite Meetings Alliance?
The Offshore Elite Meetings Alliance is a COMPLIMENTARY event for qualified corporate meeting planners (excluding airfare). Hotels and resorts interested in participating, please contact the Sales Team at SalesTeam@EliteMeetings.com or (805) 730-1000.
4) When and where should I plan on arriving/departing?
If arriving by plane, you may fly into the Honolulu International Airport (HNL). You should plan to arrive in Honolulu, Hawaii prior to 3:00pm on Sunday, January 24, 2010, to attend the welcome ceremonies and reception, and depart no earlier than 6:00pm on Tuesday, January 26, 2010, to attend the closing luncheon.

6) Will there be transportation from the airport?
Yes, complimentary transportation will be provided from Honolulu International Airport (HNL). Upon receipt of your arrival and departure information, we will arrange to have you greeted at baggage claim. Please make sure to either update your registration with your travel itinerary or e-mail your flight itinerary to the EMA Team at EMATeam@EliteMeetings.com once your flights are confirmed.
7) May I bring a guest?
We suggest that you and a guest enjoy Hawaii together before or after the Offshore Elite Meetings Alliance. For guests who would like to participate in F&B functions throughout the event (meals, after parties, etc.), there is a $350 guest fee.
8) May I arrive early or extend my stay?* (applicable to meeting planners only)
The Royal Hawaiian's sister properties - the Sheraton Waikiki and the Moana Surfrider, a Westin Resort - will be offering up to two nights, pre- or post-, subject to availability. If you would like to arrive early, please contact the EMA Team at EMATeam@EliteMeetings.com or (805) 879-4485.

9) How many one-on-one appointments am I required to schedule and attend?
All attending planners are required to schedule a minimum of 12 appointments. You will be notified via e-mail once the FaceTime appointment scheduler is open.
10) What should I wear?
A combination of Resort Casual and Business Casual attire is recommended. The weather will most likely be mild. Average weather for Honolulu in January is 70 degrees, with highs in the 70s and nighttime lows in the mid 60s.
Any themed events will be announced a month prior to the event.
